Sonatina
(1970) (Ob. and Bsn. or Trom) - A slow introduction gives way to
a spritely allegro in the first movement with lots of
syncopation. An allegretto in mainly 5/8 with a lot of imitation
creates contrast in the second movement. The allegro final
movement is rhythmic and playful with a short recapitulation of
the first movement's slow introduction. It was been recorded by Jill
Marchione and Kimberly Buchar Kelley on the CD Collage. Duration 9:00 Grade 4.
